Our own videos

Footage filmed by the federation and hosted by it. Nothing is requested from any outside service.

The very first event, in Ganshoren
September 2024, presented by Massimo Scotti: the team-building day for Ganshoren council staff, and the first tamburello session ever held in Belgium.
The European Cup final — Italy v France
Evere, December 2025. The French refusing to let a single ball drop — that is what won it for them.
An outdoor rally
24 seconds, filmed for the federation's TikTok. The open-air game, on a hard court.
A defensive play indoors
13 seconds. A Belgian player defending in front of the crowd — this is indoor, the fastest form of the game.

Videos

A photograph freezes the ball. It does not tell you how fast it arrives, nor how it is taken on the volley without letting it drop. These videos do.

The indoor game, up close

Strikes, volleys, rallies at point-blank range: the clearest demonstration of what indoor tamburello is. The footage is from 2008; the game has not changed.

A demonstration in the old port of Genoa

A court set up on the quayside, passers-by stopping to watch. This is also how tamburello makes itself known — and roughly what we do at our taster sessions.

Open European Championship — Italy v France

The outdoor game, on clay: bigger, longer, with trajectories the indoor court does not allow.

2026 Indoor World Championship — the finals

The finals at the PalaPellicone. On the championship poster, the Belgian flag opens the list of competing nations. This broadcast, too, is shown in full.

Tamburello on sand — the Tambeach finals

Tambeach is the beach version of tamburello, and the only one played over a net: a sand court, a net at two metres, a beach-tennis ball. Born some fifty years ago on the beaches of Sicily, with an official championship since 1996. These are the 2023 Italian national finals.
