Assembled from nothing in September 2025. Tenth in the world six months later.

The Belgian national team represents Belgium in the competitions of the International Federation. It trains in Evere, in the same slot as the sessions open to the public — coming to play on a Sunday means playing alongside it.

2026 29th Open World Championship (outdoor)
Les Pennes-Mirabeau, France
Winners of men's Series D — promoted to Series C Five matches, five wins, including the 8-4 final against Lavérune. Narcisse Amoussou named best player of the series. A year earlier, the team had finished last in the same series.
2026 European Sport For All Games
Limerick, Ireland
Tamburello presented among the traditional sports Four days of demonstrations and open taster sessions. The federation was invited there to the 2028 World Sport For All Games in Riyadh.

2nd place The federation's first international podium, at the invitation of the French tambourine ball federation. Beauvais win, Belgium take second place.

2026 Indoor World Championship
Rome, Italy
10th in the world Fifteen nations taking part. Two months after finishing last in Evere, the team reached the round of sixteen, where it was knocked out by France, the reigning champions. The Belgian team was then less than two years old. Delegation: Jean-Luc Moerenhout and Sarah Jacmain; players: Narcisse Amoussou (captain), Carlos Beheton, Robbe Chalmet, Thomas Beelen, Julien Deloof, Nathy Ahmed.
2025 FIBaT Indoor European Cup — Belgium 2025
Evere, Belgium
Hosted by the FBST The first tamburello European Cup ever played in Belgium, under mandate from the International Federation. 24 teams, 9 nations, one team in NATO colours, around a hundred participants. Opening gala attended by the president of the FIBaT, the mayor of Evere and the sports alderman.

Getting in

There is no youth pathway, no scouting network, no feeder club: selection happens among the players who turn up to train. That is still true today, and it may not be true for much longer.
